Notes From Mr. Mead:

Good morning all,

 

I had a lot of emails to catch up on today, unfortunately I was out of town at the end of last week for a funeral and spent the rest of my weekend outside, I hope you were able to do the same.  Many of the questions were similar so I wanted to address everyone as I'm sure some other may be asking these questions as well.

 

I will be going through and updating grades today.  If you want credit for an assignment, it needs to be submitted via Edmodo by the end of today (Tuesday, May 26) as I need to submit final grades tomorrow morning.  Remember, if you have questions about how an individual assignment was scored, please check the comments section on Edmodo for notes.

 

A couple emails were in regards to students re-doing work and grades not being changed.  I am not allowing students to re-do assignments for credit and this has been communicated since the beginning of Remote Learning.  If you submitted an assignment and missed points, you can work through it again to help your practice and preparation for next year, however, I will not be re-grading those assignments.  You should not be worried about your grades though.  Remember, you will end this quarter with a grade of "Pass" or "Incomplete".  If you have been consistently participating and turning in your assignments, you are going to be fine.

 

8th Graders: If you have not yet submitted the Google Forms in order to receive credit for your PowerPoint Presentation or WIX Website Design, please follow the links on the "8th Grade Assignments" page and review them with a parent.

• We will be using the below grading scale for this quarter.​

  • 2 - Completed, Satisfactory

  • 1 - Completed, Needs Improvement

  • 0 - Not Completed / Completed, Unsatisfactory

  • Keep in mind, we will not end the quarter with a standard letter grade.  You will end with either a "Passing" or "Incomplete".  Both 1's and 2's earn credit towards that "Passing" grade.
